Yesterday, we had a birthday dinner for Jackson and Merrill. It was a fabulous day, but I realized that I didn't get any pictures of the food (which was soooo delicious), our friends that came or Jackson's cake. I guess that's what happens with the third kid. I really thought I got a picture of his cake, but I can't find one anywhere. We tried to record singing Happy Birthday, but the camera's battery died 2 seconds into it. Ya gotta love it!
How cute are my birthday boys!?!

38 candles are really a lot!
These are the birthday hats our friend April made for the boys (we were supposed to have another friend who has the same birthday, but he couldn't make it at the last minute).
The inside of the cake. It was a 4 layer cake, 2 layers of chocolate and 2 of white cake with raspberry jam and chocolate ganache fillings. It didn't look very pretty on the outside, but it tasted super yummy!
Watch out, the forrest fire on the cake could catch the house on fire at any second

Lisa, you totally got a picture of Jacksons cake...its right by the pic of the big cake...granted its upside down and off to the side, but you still got it :)
it was a fun day and we were glad to be able to help celebrate! i left parker's cake there and was very sad when i realized, all of the balloon drama was distracting!
That cake looks AMAZING!
What a fun celebration!! Love the cakes and you look so professional decorating ;-)
that night was great! so much fun.
That cake looks huge! I think that I would have liked it a lot and I am not a big fan of cake but that thing made my mouth water.
What a precious baby we have in Jackson and I just can't believe that he is a year old already...seems like just yesterday that dad and I were there taking care of you all and doing the 4 a.m. feedings. Dad is so bonded to that little guy and he has a special spot in his heart. I really know that he has the entire family wrapped around his little finger.
Can't wait to have him in St Louis in March and tell Jackers that he'd better be ready for lots of hugs and kisses.
Hugs,
Gram/mom
