Teacher Appreciation Brunch

Wow, we've been really busy the last few weeks and I have a lot of updating to do! First up, the teacher appreciation brunch that we had with all of the kids' teachers. We had 9 teachers come. It was so much fun to have them over to spend time with them and let them know how much they mean to our kids.
Menu
Bow tie pasta & spinach salad with sun dried tomato dressing
Chicken salad sandwiches
Fresh fruit with dip
Homemade blueberry muffins & biscuits
Yogurt & Granola parfaits
Strawberry lemonade

The table scape
Crayon centerpieces. I was so excited how cute they turned out. I was really nervous when I started making them.
Yummy fruit. The teachers LOVED the fruit dip. Thanks mom for giving me this calorie free recipe. It's always a winner.
The best chicken salad sandwiches EVER. They've been my favorite ever since Sara made them for the first time at my baby shower for William.
Little presents for the teachers. William's principal liked hers so much that she has it on a shelf on a cake plate for everyone to see it. She cracks me up.

I realized after the teachers left that I didn't get a single picture of them. So, this is a picture of William with his teacher, Mrs. King on the last day of school. He has really enjoyed being in her class this year, from the cooking to the 6 field trips to meeting Chef Thomas Keller of the French Laundry and getting TKO's from Bouchin Bakery. It's been quite the year!

What did you stick those crayons in? They were just darling. I want the recipe for the fruit dip. What a wonderful tradition you have started there in Napa.
Miss you guys. Love, Aunt Colleen
