I Love My Little Lady

Tonight after dinner when Maddie took her dishes to the sink, she asked if she could do all of the dishes.  I said sure.  So, she got a chair pushed up to the sink, started washing everyone's dishes and putting them in the dish washer.  I was sitting at the table and couldn't get over how old she looked.  Just yesterday she was my baby girl and now she's old enough to know how to scrub pots and pans (and do a good job at it too).  She told me that she wants to wash the dishes every morning and night.  I said, "Sure Maddie.  That sounds like a great idea."  Little does she know that I hate doing dishes and she's saving me!  She is going to be such the big helper when the baby gets here.  I think the two of us are going to have fights over who gets to hold the baby, who gets to feed the baby and who gets to change the diapers.  I can't wait!  Next thing to teach her...laundry!

Let Maddie change all the diapers. If she needs more to do, send her to my house!

Maddie you are so wonderful to help your Mother.
Maybe she will let you do the laundry too.
I love your sweater.
Won't be long and your little baby brother or sister will be here. What a great help you will be.
Love, Aunt Colleen
