Gracie's Trip to Napa

About a month ago, we were so excited when my neice, Grace came out for a visit.  We had so much fun with her.  I just feel bad that it took me so long to get this post done.  We did a lot when she was here.  The first stop was the Jelly Belly Factory.  We had never been there so we thought this was a perfect reason to go.  We invited our friends Danyel and her kids, Josie and her kids and Jen and her kids to join us.  Danyel had been there before and on the way up there, she said that the line to get in is never very long and we would probably only have to wait about 10 minutes at the most.  When we got inside we found out there was a record breaking crowd there.  We got to stand in line for over an hour.  So fun!  It ended up being pretty fun and very interesting.
I love Josie's expressions in pictures.

Seriously, she is the BEST!
Next up was bowling.  Just an FYI, don't pay for 3 games up front when you have 6 kids and 2 adults bowling and one of them is a 3 year old.  3 hours is a long time to bowl.

The kids got a second wind when the black lights, lasers and music came on though

One night I took Maddie and Grace to get mani pedi's.  We got out of the car and took a picture; then went inside.  When we went in, they let us know that they were closed.  Oops.

Instead of going to the spa that night, we decided to go get foot massages from the Chinese people who didn't speak a word of English.  Boy, was it ever fun.
Gracie was loving the tea that she was soaking her feet in

This was right up Maddie's alley
One day while I was getting a crown put on my tooth, Merrill took the kids to the City.  They had so much fun.  Besides the foot massage, Grace said the City was her favorite thing she did.

How cute are these two!

Lunch at William's favorite House of Nan King.  The owner Peter, took a picture with the fam.

Next up Downtown Chinatown.  Merrill of course, let William and Maddie buy the glasses and fan.

The kids tried to put their feet in the freezing cold ocean

Nothing better than a foggy, cold July day in San Francisco
We finally made it back to the spa to get our mani pedi's.  They were almost as good as the massages.

We loved pampering Gracie
After a 2 1/2 hour nail biting drive to the airport, lots of prayers and a race to the gate, Grace made it just in time for her flight.  It was so sad to have to say goodbye.  Please send her back soon!
Bye Gracie.  We miss you!  Come back soon.
