Our big excitement for the day!

So, we had a little bit of excitement while Sara and I were trying to make freezer jam today. Maddie locked herself in her room instead of taking her nap. I went back to check on her because she was crying and realized that the door was locked and that the lock needed a key to open it. We called the property management company and they sent this nice man out to fix the door. He first looked at it and said, "Oh, it really does need a key." Like I'm some sort of moron and can't figure out what kind of door needs a key. (I know you're thinking, well Lisa, you are stupider than dumb. But, even I could figure this one out). So, he had to take the door knob off with some gigantic pliers and go buy a new door knob (this one without a lock).

And, here is Maddie with her brand new door knob. She was just thrilled because everything took so long, that she didn't have to take a nap after all!
PS~You'll be happy to know that we finished making the jam too and it is delicious.

Wow that sounds like a day!!! One of grandma's to a T!

I bet you were so excited to get out of that room Miss Maddie Jene. Who in their right mind would put a handle with a lock on it in a baby's room?

Well I'm just happy that everything worked out for the best and that the jam turned out good. Do you remember the jam we made when you were young? Glad you're carrying on the old traditions.

Love and hugs,
Mom/GraM

I knows those days...Something relatively simple turns into quite the drama day. I can laugh...in fact that was hilarious!
