Happy Birthday to Me

Well, today is my birthday. I've decided to turn it into 2 weeks of celebration,. Okay, not really a whole 2 weeks, but pretty close. Last week, I had something every night, so Merrill was great about getting home in time for me to have a little time away from the kids. Then yesterday, I drove down to San Bruno and had a very fun lunch at a delicioso Thai restaurant with Sara, Josie and Lia. I have to give a big shout out and thank to Jamie (Sara's husband) for treating us to such a great lunch! I have been dreaming about the noodles that I had ever since. After lunch, Sara and I went to get pedicures (thanks Sara and Josie). Merrill loves my new red toes.

After a quick drive home and change of clothes, I got to go out to dinner for another fabulous meal with Merrill, Scott and Becky Murdock. We went to Market in St. Helena and it was so great. We had lots of very yummy food and a really fun dessert. We had 'smores. We even cooked the marshmallows at our table. Way fun. Thanks Scott and Becky for treating. Totally unexpected and totally appreciated!

This morning, the kids and Merrill gave me a very sweet card that they made. We went to church and everyone seemed to know it was my birthday, and I must have heard happy birthday about 100 times. I loved it! All of the kids in Primary gave me big hugs for my big day. They are very sweet. This afternoon we're going to dinner at the Turners and then over to the Murdocks for games. Tuesday, I'm going out to lunch with some friends and then Wednesday, breakfast with the school moms. What a fun birthday. I usually really don't look foward to my birthday, but this year has been so great. Sara asked if I felt loved yesterday and I definitely have felt loved this year! Thanks to everyone who sent cards, emails and for the phone calls. I have loved them all.

Oh, I guess I forgot the best gift of all...Merrill's! He's taking me to New York in December to go to a broadway play! I've never been to NYC and I can't wait to go. We are dropping the kids off at my parents for 4 days and we're off to the Big Apple to live it up. Thanks babe. You're the best. And, thanks mom and dad for taking the kids. We could do it without you!
