So, we only have a couple of more weeks until Halloween so we decided to make caramel apples for Family Home Evening this week. It was a lot of fun. I made chicken and dumplings to help get into an autumn feeling. I had a spiced apple candle burning all day and I even made some cookies. My house smelled soooo yummy. It really felt like the holidays were coming. Too bad it was about 80 degrees outside. We had the Turners over for dinner and FHE. William gave a great lesson about Daniel and the Lion's Den. I love that he is growing up so much that he can now give the lesson.
Last night, the young men and women put on a Halloween carnival for the kids at church. I don't have any of the kids costumes yet, so we had to come up with something on the spur of the moment. Madeline has decided that Hannah Montana rocks (even though she has no clue who she is) so she was a Hanna Montana rocker chick (thanks for the help, Ashley), William was black Spiderman (the same as last year) and Jackson borrowed a costume from Josie and he was Spiderman. This kids had an awesome time and Maddie really got into her costume! She is loving Halloween this year.

Happy Halloween

Your FHE sounds wonderful and you should have all been here because it is in the 60's again and fall is definitely in the air.
When gramps saw Maddie he said ,"what in the world". She is a riot but I will be excited to see her Madeline costume. She will be like my sweet Maddie Jene. William and Jackson should looked scary also.
I just told Aunt Sheri to see look at your Blog and get ready to laugh so hard!
Hugs, and loves,

Hey Maddie looks quite like Hannah Montana...cute outfit and the hair....William & Jackson are cute also. I just loved holding him (Jackson)last Sunday.
Caramel Apples sound so yummy, but not until it gets a bit cooler here where I can turn the stove on without heating the house up even more.

Madeline's hair is hilarious! She is so cute - you'll have to save this picture to display at her wedding reception. And speaking of halloween/autumn, we sure do miss your baking around here - especially your pumpkin tart.
