One Last Hurrah!

We decided to have one last hurrah before school starts on Wednesday (I still can't believe tomorrow is the last day of summer vacation) and take the kids to the Lawerence Hall of Science in Berkeley. It was a lot of fun and the kids had a blast. We met Josie, Sara and their kids and of course, Chelsea at 12:30. We were running late, so we didn't stop for lunch. We played until almost 4:00 and the kids didn't complain once that they were hungry. Now, if you know my children, that's amazing. We were way too busy playing in the Grossology room with fake poop, blood, tape worms, flies and other gross things. Next we moved to the live animal room and the kids got to hold a snake and then pet a rabbit and a really ugly toad. They loved seeing all of the other snakes, lizards, turtles and spiders too. Finally, we spent over an hour in the kindergarten area. First, the older kids were in the planetarium, but then they came over and joined the little kids and just played and played. I couldn't believe how much fun they had. I'm still quite amazed. Here are a few pictures of our fun day.
William, Maddie, Cutler (our friend, Tammy's son, who came along too) and Jackson playing on a DNA model while we waited for everyone else to get there.

The crew!Jacob, Charlie and Maddie having fun building a big block city. (The best part of this picture is that Charlie had just yelled at some kid to get out of their picture.) Charlie and Dylan loving on the rabbit

Maddie and William petting the rabbit. Maddie was so excited. She was really excited to hold the snake. She was telling the helper lady all about the snakes we had at our house for William's birthday party.
Okay, so everyone enjoyed the rabbit, except for maybe Jacob. He was okay to look at the animals, but he didn't want anything to do with touching them. He makes me laugh. Doesn't he look like he's having fun!?!
After we left the Hall of Science, we had some dinner at a Mexican Restaurant. Here's Jackers enjoying a churro!
