First Day of School

Yesterday, was the first day of school for both Maddie and William. Merrill and I had to split up since they're at two different schools. They both had a great day and they love their new teachers. William was a litte nervous about his because she is pretty strict, but I assured him that everyone who has had Mrs. King has loved her. That helped, but when he found out that he was going to have homework every night (starting last night), I think I lost him again! He did say that she was very nice though. I guess that's all I can hope for. She really is a great teacher. She loves parent volunteers and she does lots of fun things in her class, including lots of cooking. I'm excited to be there a lot this year. Now, I just have to get rid of Jackers. Anyone want him while I'm volunteering!?!
William looking very excited to go to class. Yeah, right!

William looking even more thrilled to be in class!

Now, there's an excited kid at school! (She was going to wear a bow in her hair and a neclace because she wanted to look "fancy" for her first day of school. I guess dad forgot to put them on her. That's what happens when mom leaves first.)

Maddie was showing Jackson the ropes of preschool.

Maddie and her best buddie, Dylan at school.

Now that the kids are in school, Jackson thinks he's in charge! He even tried to drive home.

Is Maddie in preschool all day this year? And sorry, no thank you on Jackers...it's my first year all alone and I'm taking every bit advantage of it! Although today I was at the hospital with my brother the whole time. I have a feeling my days are going to get filled quickly.

And tell William I think his class sounds awesome!

Hurray for William for trying to smile! Tell him we're proud of him and Luke will be trying to smile next week. He is happy about his teacher, but not really ready to get back to a routine. We can tell him that William has already started and maybe he'll be ready to go too.

Jackers, now that you're so big and have learned to drive, maybe you should give Al and Cindy a ride to the airport to pick me up tonight!
