This past week has finally cooled off and started to feel like autumn time. So, yesterday we decided to go to a fall carnival at a local church. It was so much fun. Jamie, Sara, Jacob and Parker came up too. It was a little carnival, but totally FREE! They had a live band that played some killer country music about tomatoes and truck drivers, a dunk tank, pony rides, bean bag toss games, a cupcake walk, a rock wall and even a pie eating contest. It was hometown Americana at it's best.
William decided to enter the pie eating contest. Even though he didn't win (the winner was a 3 time defending champ, he still enjoyed the mixed berry pie)
Jacob and Maddie felt like a real cowboy and cowgirl on their pony rides. Jacob was totally loving it.
Parker didn't want anything to do with the ponies and Jackson made it once around and then he decided that was enough for him. I actually was shocked that he even got on it. He's not exactly an animal lover.
Maddie told me she wanted to go climb the rock wall. I really didn't think she was going to be able to do it, but then she started going up, up and up. She practically ran up the wall! I was so amazed. William and I kep cheering her on. He was so proud of his little sister.
Maddie touching the top of the wall. She climbed the wall about 10 times in a row.
My two little climbers! How cute are they!?!
