Trip to New Hampshire

I was so lucky to go out to New Hampshire a couple of weeks ago for my nephew, Matthew's eagle court of honor. My parent's flew me out to cook a Mexican Fiesta for 75 people. We joked that I was the hired help, but I was treated like a queen while I was there! We had so much fun getting everything ready for the party. My great-aunt Colleen and my mom's friend Carol were my little helpers along with my mom and sister. I put them all to work right away. I don't think any of them are going to want to eat any tomatoes or onions any time soon because I made them chop up so many. They were awesome worker bees! (I only have a few pictures from the trip because my battery died on me)

Matthew, the Eagle Scout! We're so proud of your accomplishment.

Aunt Colleen, Sheri, Uncle DeVaughn & I slaving away while Hunter just watches and tries to steal some food. Isn't he precious!?!
After a weekend of cooking, we took a day trip up to Bath Maine on Monday. It was so beautiful and relaxing, well maybe not for dad, he had to drive the whole way. Thanks dad.
This was a fort from the Civil War that was right on the coast

Thanks again mom and dad (and Merrill for taking care of the kids for a couple extra days) for such a fun trip! I really do love New Hampshire in October and this seems to be an annual trip for me. Maybe we'll do it again next year for Hunter's court of honor.

So beautiful.
I like to think you are above any hired help.

That looks gorgeous! I have always wanted to go to Maine...I'm so glad you are familiar with the East coast as well b/c how else will I know where to eat when I finally make it out there?! Who needs Yelp when you've got Lisa Hiserman?

Okay, I am pretty sure when Gary and I were first married, Matt was in our Nursery class. He liked when Gary pulled him around on the blanket and when we sang "Take Me Out to the Ball Game." He is so grown up. You all look great.

Hopefully, you will live closer to me someday when one of my kids get married and I can bribe you in to doing the food. You were always awesome at that. Let's see...what could I bribe you with? I do have an old video of you, me and Heather dancing around to Howard Jones and then singing "She's my Sister" with the lady on the tape. Maybe I could bribe you with not showing that to anybody. Ha!

Seriously, though, that is so cool that you could all be together for that.
