Baking Craze

This weekend, I don't know what got into me, but I was on a baking kick. (I even bought a 50 pound bag of flour from Costco to get me ready for my holliday baking.) Friday night I made chocolate chip cookies (not that exciting), but on Saturday I decided to teach Maddie and her friend Eden how to make cinnamon rolls. I guess we were really learning together because I had never made them before. It was so much fun to do it with them. Maddie and Eden were having so much fun measuring everything and pouring it in the bowl. They even had fun kneading the dough, even though it grossed me out a little bit, so I only let them do it for a few seconds each. I wanted to take pictures of the girls in their aprons, but I forgot and didn't remember until I was rolling up the dough & William took this picture.

Nothing better than cinnamon rolls fresh out of the oven. They smelled so yummy!

The only thing better than cinnamon rolls right out of the oven is cinnamon rolls with icing right out of the oven.

And then today, I decided that I wanted to try and make Ebelskivers. If you've never heard of them, they're little bites of heaven. Actually, they're a Danish pancake ball thingy. They are so delicious with butter and jam on them or even just butter and powdered sugar. I've never made these either, but I've watched my great aunt Colleen make them before. She was quite my inspiration this weekend! Thanks for inspiring me Colleen. My kids and friends thank you too!

WOW YOU DID GOOD! Your ablesievers looks wonderful. And those cinnamon rolls looks perfect.
Kylene and I made cinnamon rolls for her office party. We did three batches and we didn't finish until 11:00 PM. Now Uncle DeVaughn must drive to Napa for some more fun cooking time!
