Day 3 it was time to go back downtown for a sleepover and excitement! We spent the night at the Swissotel. So fun. We started out the afternoon going to Gino's East Chicago Style Pizzeria. It was delish and just a cool place to check out. After that, the boys walked up Michigan Ave and checked out Niketown, while the girls went back to the hotel and jumped in the pool.

Maddie has had a dream for a long time to be able to stay in a hotel and have room service. Her dream came true and the kids had a late dinner and dessert! They were in 7th heaven.

After the kids were in bed, Merrill & I decided to walk down Michigan Ave and check out downtown Chicago. It was such a beautiful night and everything so gorgeous. We were having a great time, until we got a text from Tina saying that Xander had woken up and had been screaming ever since we left. Bummer, it was a short but sweet date night.

The next morning, it was time to do some sightseeing and ice skating. First stop, The Bean.

| This was another cool statue that changed facial expressions and people's faces. Tina said that in the summertime, the face actually spits water. |

| On the way home, Merrill made us stop for Chicago style hotdogs at Hot Doug's. Soooo good! Thanks for the tip, Anthony Boudain. |

Oh how I wish I could have been with you guys. You look like you are having the best time. Great pictures of happy kids. Now it is time to plan on coming to California. You won't need those warm coats.
