Wow, it's been a while since I've blogged and I have some catching up to do. Now that the kids are back in school (post to come soon) I can get back to blogging. We had a very fun and fast summer. We did a lot of swimming, going to Six Flags, going to the movies, the park, golfing, family dates and playing with friends. Not to mention our annual trip to the lake. Here is a quick recap of some of the highlights.
| What better way to start a summer day than eating dum dum suckers in bed. (I know it looks like Xander is putting the sucker in his nose, but he's not) |
| Maddie doing a little limbo at the 4th of July pool party. We love the pool. We went at least 3 or 4 times a week all summer long. We're so sad that it will be closing soon. |
| This is the view from where we watched the fireworks on the 4th of July. All I can say is AMAZING! |
| William and Xander have become best buddies this summer. Xander loves saying, "Weeum" He definitely loves his big brother! And I must say, William is very patient with him. He even babysat him a couple of times. |
| We decided to go to the park with Xander and Jack one day when it was about 105 degrees out. I'm not sure what we were thinking. The boys still loved it though. |
| Jackson became quite the brave boy this summer at Six Flags. He even rode a couple of rides all by himself. Way to go Jackers. You're getting soo big! |
| Date night at Fentons. Jack had to have a BIG sundae in a big glass. Not the little kid one. |
| We had some down time just vegging out with a good movie. (Our favorite movie this summer...The Princess Bride. An oldie but goodie.) Xander lasts about 2 minutes before he is up and running again. Oh, have I mentioned that his favorite thing to do is turn off the TV. Jack yells and tells me to put Xander to bed so he can watch his shows. Who cares that it's only 4pm. |
| William did quite a bit of golfing. He even played in his first tournament. I used my PGA spouse card for the first time in 13 years and William now gets to play for free at our local golf course. Too bad I waited to try it until the summer was half over. I could have saved myself a lot more money. |
| Xander wore his lederhosen outfit from Grandma Temple. It's been a tradition to put all of the boys in it. I must say, he really did look adorable in it, and he got lots of compliments on it at church. |
| Xander doesn't like our friends' dogs, but he sure does like their bed. |
William and I had a lunch date and he got the all you can eat hot wings. He made it through one round, but it looks like he made it through about 5.
Well this is the first summer catch up post. Still to come...Chicago, New Hampshire and William's surgery.
