William had his last surgery (hopefully) to fix his palate. The procedure was called a pharyngial flap. I still don't exactly understand what they did completely, but I do know that William's voice has improved a lot. He doesn't sound nasally anymore. It wasn't an easy recovery. He wouldn't eat, drink and barely take any pain medication for 4 days, but after that, he turned a corner and made a drastic turn around. He even went swimming on day 5 and was back golfing after a week. I was thrilled. Maybe it was me and the doctor threatening him with having to go back to the hospital to get an IV that did the trick.

| Playing a Wii before he got called back. He actually cheered when the nurse came to get him. It made her day. |

| Waiting for surgery (1st Hour) |

| Still Waiting. (2nd Hour) |
| STILL WAITING!!! (3rd Hour) He finally got to go back for surgery after waiting almost 4 hours. The poor kid was starving and bored to death. |
| In the recovery room. William had a super hard time waking up and he was allergic to the morphine they gave him. He started itching all over and getting hives. The poor baby. He couldn't scratch because he was in soft restrains so he couldn't pull out the stints that were in his nose. After he had some IV benedryl and sleeping for another 2 hours, we finally got to take him to his room at about 11pm. |
| Day 2 in the hospital after the stints (or big long tubes that were in his nose to help keep his airways open) were taken out of his nose. William started feeling a little bit better and was able to get up for a walk and then he had a very sweet visitor. We got to go home on day 3. |
