1st Annual Halloween Party (well maybe)

I decided to throw a Halloween party for William and Maddie's friends this year. I'm not sure what I was really thinking inviting 35 kids ranging in age from 18 months to 11 years old. Okay, what I was thinking was, "for sure not all of these kids will be able to come, and we'll only have about 15." But, no pretty much all 35 came. Actually, it was really fun. A little hectic and out of control at times, but very fun! We started out with a Halloween parade so all of the kids could show off their great costumes. Then they all had to change before we did anything else. I was very proud of them for not losing any of their costume parts and we only had a couple forget anything (Sara! She forgot her kids' costumes completely).
Here are most of the kids
After the parade, we had some yummy mummy dogs, scary pizzas, bones with blood and goo (breadsticks with marinara sauce and green ranch dressing), bloody fingers (aka little smokies in bbq sauce) veggies and dip, fruit and chips. And no, I did not make all of the food. All of the moms were so great and offered to bring things. Have I mentioned how AMAZING the moms that stayed were? Everytime I turned around they had cleaned up the previous activity. It was awesome.

So, back to the party...after we ate, the kids decorated trick or treat bags and went trick or treating upstairs to all of the bedrooms. Then we did a donut on a string race, decorated cookies, played pin the stem on the pumpkin and had a mummy wrapping contest. Then it was time to kick the little rascals out! Just kidding. The kids had a great time playing and doing the monster mash. Josie and Sara came up from SB with their kids and stayed for dinner, which was sooo much fun! We always love it when we get to see them. Thanks again to Heather, Becky, Michelle, Tiffany, Tammy, Danyel, Sara and Josie for all of the help!

MacKenzie's team won the best mummy contest. Then all of the kids decided to wrap me up and join in on the fun. We were one big mummy family!

Hey Lisa, it looks like a very well-attended primary activity from the Daly City Ward days. You've got a lot of energy!
