I've Been Tagged...

My cousin Emily just tagged me and I'm supposed to write 6 random things about myself, so here I go:
1. I hate doing these things because I don't feel like there is anything that exciting about me and I'm not as good as everyone else at writing. I feel really stupid writing stuff about myself and no I'm not fishing for praise, it's just a fact. I can be funny, but not when it comes to stuff like this.
2. I'm not crafty at all. I would love it if I was Martha Stewart and knew how to do everything. I want to be able to sew, garden, fix the pipes, build a chicken house and raise my own chickens so I could have fresh eggs everyday. But unfortunately, I like to sleep more than 3 hours a night in order to get all of that done. It's sounds like WAY too much work.
3. I'm stupider than dumb. I am constantly forgetting things. Like right now, I'm trying to remember the name of the scrapbooking company that everyone sells. It's the best scrapbooking company out there. Why can't I remember the name of that? It's driving me crazy.
4. I am always telling myself that I'm going to start working out or start some project and I never seem to do it. I'm a terrible procrastinator.
5. I'm a total impulse buyer and a pushover. If someone tries to sell me something, I will most likely buy it from them because I don't want them to feel bad.
6. I love to have people over for dinner or anytime for that matter. Anytime anyone wants dinner, come to my house and I'll cook for you. The more the merrier. My kids always ask me who's coming over for dinner and they're bummed when we don't have anyone. I would be thrilled if someone paid me to cook for them every night, but they would have to come to my house because I love the company too.

Ok, so now I have to tag people. Here you go, sorry about this, but these are the rules...Mom, Caroline, Erika, Becky, Josie, Sara, Laura, Kellie. I picked people that I don't think have been tagged. If you have, sorry.

no likey this post. much too hard on yourself. here's my version of your post:

Hi. I'm Lisa and I'm going to tell you six random things about myself

1. Don't think you're special if I'm nice to you. I'm nice to everyone. And I treat all people like they are the most important person in the world. I may be thinking naughty things about you, but I'll never let on because, well, I'm just that nice.

2. I have amazing hair. It does what I tell it to. Always. I can braid it and it will have a nice wave or I can just leave it to air dry and it always turns out perfectly.

3. I have great skin. And I don't even wash my face at night. So there. I know people I know spend LOTS of money on skin care products, but I don't even have to do a thing. I am just naturally glowing.

4. I am an amazing cook. I went to school specializing in pastries, but really, I can cook anything. And most of the time, I just wing it, with it always turning out perfectly. I make quesadillas like nobody's business, and don't even get me started on my lasagna. It's to die for.

5. I always go the extra mile. Always. When you ask me to do something, I will get it done and then add some more because I want things to be better. Whether it's planning something for my kids' school, making gifts for friends or teachers, or just doing my church calling, I will always whip up something fabulous (and most likely delicious as well.)

6. I am the best kind of friend you can find. I am loyal to the core and won't let time or distance sway me. I would do anything for any of my friends and help them to feel loved and important. If you walk into my home, whether you're a missionary, neighbor, or just the kirby salesman, I will make you feel appreciated and valued. And probably invite you to stay for dinner. After which, you will quickly be my friend. And count yourself lucky because I am one great chica lica to have around.

Love you Lisa!

Well here goes..,
1. I'm the mom on this list and am very tagged challenged but I am a good sport. I need my girls to help me with life just in general so a tag without them is overwhelming. Plus I am not a great writer either but I have enjoyed reading all of your blogs, yes I'm a blog stalker. I get a kick out of Josie's and am amazed with Erika's. She is so thought provoking. It has also been great to read Kellie and too get caught up on all the kids I have watched grow up. You are all amazing!!!
2. I have a confession that Lisa reminded me of this fall when she and Jackers were visitng us all at the lake. I was getting after her that she needed to lighten up on all the entertaining and take care of herself, she reminded me nicely that it was because of the way she was raised with parties and dinners all the time while she was growing up. Her dad is the party guy I, unfortunatly, am not the cook Lisa is but I fake it alot.
I just wish she was closer so we could enjoy some of the parties too.
3. Prayer is the constant in my life and I can't imagine being a wife, mother, and now gram without being able to have that power and peace in my life. I am thankful that I was taught early in my life to go to my knees to give thanks and to ask for help from on HIgh.
4. I lose items alot and I guess that's were Lisa get that great talent from. Really I usually find the item but it takes prayer and looking in the same place 20x. Nuts, I know but that how it works for me. Lately I have gotten so excited that I get giddy and say it's the little things in life that make me Happy! Weird I know.
5. I love my family and I mean my entire family...the whole bunch from the Farmers, Griffiths,Maddoxs, Dahers, Harbucks, and all of the Temple gang. each and everyone is so special to me and I really miss those who have gone on and look forward to meeting some of them for the first time when I leave this earth. I have been doing alot of family history work, with June's help, and temple work and these family members are so grateful and I know they are praying for all of our family.
6.I love penny candy and it is the hardest thing to give up when I am trying to do good with my eating. This summer I went to the longest candy counter in America and boy was I ever in Hog Heaven and yes I indulged. The licorice was amazing as was all the other great candies and please don't tell Wendy because she is the stalwart and would never have caved in. Oh well I can still taste some of the great gummies and suckies so I know it was worth it.

Well, thanks for the tag. I am not too good at those things either.

But, really, you are way too hard on yourself. You are amazing. I have this one video to prove it. We were about 15 or 16 and we were singing "She's my sister" in it. It is classic. If I can ever get it on a DVD I will send it.

Plus, you can cook! What else is there? My whole family wishes I could cook. When we have people over for dinner. Which is rare. Gary always says, "if you don't like it, you don't have to eat it. Wish we could come eat dinner with you.

Okay, I should be in bed right now, but I am going to try and do this.

That is funny about Wagstaff, btw. I should ask him to be my friend.
