So, it rained and rained and rained this weekend at our house. I thought the kids and I were going to lose our minds because we were stuck in the house all day Saturday. Well, all of us except for Maddie. She wanted to play in the rain, and I figured, why not?

William didn't enjoy the rain quite as much. He was done after about 5 seconds.
She was finally done after about 30 minutes. Well actually, I was done and I made her come in because I didn't want to have to stand out and watch her anymore. I guess I could have let her go in the backyard and stay out for hours, but that would mean that I had a brain and we all know better than that.

My only sanity to rainy days is letting the kids go out and play. In fact, Blake rode his bike today in the rain! I always just have a warm bath ready for them and then I have another 15 minutes to myself....no brain?....no genius!
She'll probably always remember this day as "one of her favorite things she did as a child" and think "what an awesome mom I have" for letting her play in the rain. BTW - I love the "Yes on Prop 8" sign in your yard. I hope it passes.
