Today was the first day of school for William and Maddie. William is starting 4th grade and Maddie is a big Kindergartner!!!! I don't know who was more excited, them or me? I was up and getting ready at 6:30am this morning. I couldn't sleep in at all. They both had a great day and Maddie was very brave. No tears whatsoever. My favorite thing that happened today was something William's 2nd grade teacher told me. She said Maddie came up to her and another teacher and asked if her backpack looked better like this (with it on one shoulder) or like this (on both shoulders). Ahh ever my fashion girl!
William and Maddie getting ready to leave for school. Maddie picked out her own outfit and wanted her hair pulled back in the middle and not on the side with a bow. This girl knows what she wants.
William, Jackson & Maddie. Jackson had to wear a tie for the first day. He was very sad that he didn't get to stay with Maddie.
Maddie and Daddy saying goodbye!
Wait up guys
Maddie and her friends blowing us kisses goodbye. The principal said that not one kinder cried today.
Maddie going on a tour of the school with her class
Poor William got the shaft this year. I didn't even make it into his classroom and I forgot to give him lunch money. Luckily, I remembered when I picked up Maddie and was able to it to him before lunch. This is pretty much the only picture Merrill got of William in his class.
